Our main tutor here is John Hughes.
John started his electrical career with a three year electrical training apprenticeship under the fifteenth edition (City and guilds 2360) in 1992. Since then, he has gone on to achieve qualifications in a range of areas.
Now, with over twenty five years’ experience in the electrical industry, John holds a variety of qualifications including 18th edition, Test and Inspection, Design and verification, Domestic Gas and various other electrical/electronic awards.
Higher further education includes electrical/electronics to HND level, teaching awards and assessor and verification awards.
He became involved with Hasting’s college in 2002 with part time tutoring and NVQ assessing for the technology department.
He taught in a range of areas including electrical installation, electrical science theory, electromechanical control systems, electronics, power electrics and PLC operation and its uses.
Since 2007 He has also been running his own electrical and gas business serving the local community.
Louise Hughes is the EAL recognised centre co-ordinator for the training centre.
Louise’s responsibilities include the registration of students, maintaining the website and operating the office
Louise has an active interest in business and accounts.
She is qualified to HND level in business and finance and is currently studying accountancy.
